Pride Of The City

Pride of the City is the Public Art in Maple Garden, the urban oasis and an ecological park in Taichung City. This work expresses the image of four birds flying upward and presents multiple images similar to trees, flowers, and birds from different angles to show the cycle of four seasons and the harmonious coexistence of all living things. This public sculpture leads the visitors to approach nature and brighten nights in Maple Garden.

Tear and Discover

This design uses a group of household products such as stereos, lamps, clocks and fans as carriers. The leather and labels symbolise the symbolic value of the goods, while the functional components inside the products symbolise the use value, using a destructive interaction to "cut" the symbolic veneer and liberate the honest function, highlighting the contradictory relationship between symbol and function in the consumption of goods.

Stalker

The stalker is a piece of furniture that should be freestanding in a room, so it can be approached from any side. From a distance, one can see his reflection centered on his dominant eye. Things however change if one decides to come closer, as many other reflections can be seen in the corner reflector. Depending on the position these could be normal reflected images as well as flipped images, as seen by others. The interaction was designed taking into account all the senses. The slight slant and the vertical texture play tricks with the spatial orientation once one gets close enough.

Kintsugi Ferrari Red

Kintsugi Ferrari Red piece from Egg Vessels Collection is a unique, one of the kind piece primarily inspired by the expressive brushstrokes of abstract expressionism and the history of the automobile. After an accident, the piece has matured and received another meaning by being fully restored by using Kintsugi where the cracked pieces were put back together and filled with gold. This unique process gave the art piece complex fresh beauty and simplicity. It gained the maturity of something once broken, yet alive again.

Interpreting Discomfort

Many times caring actions will bring people closer together, but it can also make people uncomfortable with too much attention. In this series of works, she discusses how much attention is too much? How is this feeling of discomfort formed? For the attention given by others, people all want to classify it as a concern, but too much attention may become a kind of pressure. She uses this series of works to discuss with the viewer the comfortable distance of interaction between people.

Pikku

Pikku vase collection is studio made from recycled waste glass. The rhythm of the process creates unique splashes of color inside each object. The collection is inspired by soap bubbles and the dance of brush strokes of abstract impression. Every Pikku vase has their own breath. Its a metaphor for a soul of a piece. Pikku combines sustainable thinking and Scandinavian design philosophy.
