Sense of Utility

Creative speculation over global sustainability matters and pursuit of finding a probable solution against planned obsolescence, led to the creation of this curiously ordinary, fabulously ridiculous timeless object, intended to serve not only with its aesthetic or practical purposes but as provocateur of subtle emotional reactions. This design represents a conceptual silver goblet ring, intended to be used, both as a statement jewellery piece and a tableware embellishment. It is a symbiosis between utility and body adornment, a tool for sophisticated communication and sentiment between people

Parasita

Parasita is a conceptual plant container made out of two different parts. the host (crystal piece) and the parasita (plant container). The parasita is placed in the host to generate an abstract representation of the concept. A living being needs another one for its own survival generating an interaction, that results in beautiful colors and forms that could go beyond the beauty that a single plant could generate. The graphic is a representation of parasitism, interacting with the water generating an optic illusion.

Artificial Topography

Big Furniture Like a Cave This is the award-winning project won the Grand Prize of Art in Container International Competition. About 1000 sheets of the soft plastic material of 10-mm thickness were cut down in contour line form and were laminated like stratum. This is not only art but also big furniture. Because all the portions are soft like a sofa, and person who enter into this space can relax by finding the place suitable for the form of its own body.

Labyrinth

The Danish designer and craftman Benjamin Nordsmark have created the Labyrinth Table to show how a wellknown object like a table can be given an extra dimension by creating a small universe inside of it. The Labyrinth consist of several walls under a sheet of diamont glass. And inside of it there are six characteristic figures that can be moved around by handles underneath it. The idea is to generate nostalgic feelings in peoples mind and encourage them to explore and to go deeper into the story of the labyrinth.

Order - development

Because of their limited experience comparing with skilled workers, many technique problems popped out during the construction: the edge of plank is outward, how to identify the cutting angle of every plank at surface? How to maintain the balance and identify the stress point? Every step of this project was beset with difficulties.7 of them worked together, broke in and matched up, finally completed the work 10 days later. Comparing with the result, they enjoyed more in the whole process, and benefitted more. They made progress and had breakthrough every day.
