Where Does Design Cult Source Featured Products and Projects?
We feature fine art and digital installations designs, products and projects. Most of the fine art and digital installations designs, products and projects featured on Design Cult are selected from among the winners of the A' Design Award & Competition, with a special focus on winners in Fine Arts and Art Installation Design and Virtual and Digital Art Installations Design. We choose most projects from the A' Design Award Winners Registry.
We prominently feature winners of the A' Design Award & Competition because the A' Design Award is an internationally renowned meritocratic competition in which winning designs are judged on pre-established, public evaluation criteria through an anonymous, academic, blind peer-review process. Moreover, nominated works are evaluated anonymously, and jurors are bound by their juror agreement, which makes the accolade more fair and impartial. Additionally, the preliminary jury phase helps entrants present their work better, and submissions are standardized so that entries are compared on merit rather than on presentation before the main judging. After jury voting, votes are checked for anomalies, scores are standardized and normalized, and results are ranked meritocratically. Because the A' Design Award is highly meritocratic, ethical and fair, Design Cult relies on the winners of the A' Design Award to feature good design with confidence.
